Ask: answers from First Aid, in a popup

Press ⌥Space anywhere on your Mac, ask a question, and get an answer from your own First Aid and Pathoma, with every point linked to the page it came from.

Download for MacApple silicon Macs, macOS 13 or later.

How it works

Ask from anywhere

⌥Space opens Ask over whatever you're studying. Or press ⌥⇧Space and drag a box around a question on screen to ask about it.

From your own books

Add your First Aid PDF, and Pathoma if you use it. Ask reads them once, on your Mac, and every fact in an answer links to its page.

Kept to what the CBSE tests

Answers stay at First Aid depth: the high-yield facts, and the mechanism explained step by step, without wandering past what you need to know.

Deeper when you want it

When the books don't cover something, or you ask it to search the web, Ask checks trusted sources like PubMed and StatPearls and cites them.

Getting started

  1. Download Ask and open it.
  2. Choose CBSE, then add your First Aid PDF (and Pathoma, if you have it). Ask doesn't come with any books: you add your own copies.
  3. Choose who writes the answers: Ask's AI, or your own Claude Pro or Max plan.
  4. Press ⌥Space and ask.

Ask's AI is $9.99 a month; with a Claude Pro or Max plan you already have, Ask itself costs nothing.

On Windows?

Ask is Mac-only for now. Leave your email and you'll hear when there's a Windows version.
